Hey look, I’m famous!
I recently did an interview with Alexa Hart on Atlas Sliced, a travel show about living and working abroad.
Alexa is awesome and I had a great time talking to her about what it’s like to work abroad in Australia as an American on the Work & Holiday Visa. In addition to the basic nitty-gritty breakdown that everyone wants to know, I talk a bit about why working abroad in Australia is an awesome thing to do, and how it’s helped me get to where I am today. (Dare I say I had Alexa convinced?)
You can watch the interview below, or better yet, check out the episode on her site to get tons of other info and watch other inspiring interviews with people who’ve taken to the wind and gone abroad to build upon their careers and life experiences!
Thanks for being an inspiring, insightful, and fabulous guest Rachael!
Hi Rachael,
I’m loving your blog so far! I’m following very closely in your footsteps, and in a few months will embark on a year visa to work in Australia. I’m hoping to get a couple of temp jobs in Marketing, just like you. I’m working with an agency and they will give me advice about my CV, but I’m wondering if you have any advice on modifying an American resume for the Australian market (other than making it longer and more detailed?) Even better, if you have an old sample CV that you applied for temp jobs with, that you could send me, that would be amazing! If not, I totally understand 🙂
I’m looking forward to reading about more of your travel stories (and will try to deflect pangs of jealousy for the South America sections!)
